In three simple steps, no cloud, no complex wiring, no expertise required.

Choose your hardware

Two options: order a ready-to-use casasmooth Box, or use your own hardware with a USB dongle.

Pair your devices

Connect your smart devices and assign them to areas. casasmooth automatically generates dashboards and automations.

Activate a plan

Once your installation is in place, choose the plan that fits your needs. Freemium is free — forever.

Pre-configured with ZigBee, WiFi & BLE — plug and play

Your own hardware

Raspberry Pi, Mini PC or server — add a USB dongle for wireless communication.

  1. Install Home Assistant

    Install Home Assistant on your Raspberry Pi, Mini PC or server.

  2. Add a USB dongle

    Plug in a ZigBee, Z-Wave or Thread dongle for wireless communication with your devices. The full process is described in the technical documentation.

  3. Install the casasmooth add-on

    Add the casasmooth repository from the Home Assistant interface, then install the add-on.

    Settings -> Add-ons -> Add-on Store -> ⋮ -> Repositories

    Install the casasmooth add-on Repository to add https://github.com/chrohrbach/casasmooth-addon

    No command line required.
