What makes the difference for a client is what you write: an automation specific to their home, a dashboard for the way they live. An automation you attach to a room appears there with its switch. For lighting or shutters, for example, when you declare it, yours takes the place of casasmooth's in that room as long as it is switched on. The dashboards you create in Home Assistant are added to the ones casasmooth generates, without being overwritten.

Planned visits, adjustments, extensions: you offer your clients the follow-up that suits them, on your terms. Your logo, with the link to your website, appears in their app as soon as you enter it at commissioning. In a home without a bus, the box shows room by room what is missing, and in a KNX or Loxone home, your project remains the inventory. When the client wants to go further, they call you.

Nothing to pay to join, nothing to pay back on what you sell. Sensors, modules, box, charger, meter: you choose them and install them, at your prices. casasmooth imposes no price: the amounts on our site are estimates, every installer freely draws up their own offer.

When a visit is needed, your client calls you already knowing which device is involved. The small things, a battery to change, a sensor to plug back in, the client does alone: a message names the device, and every Monday, if they gave their e-mail, their health report lists what is offline and the low batteries.
The boxes' logs come up to us, and recurring errors are fixed for the whole fleet.

A KNX or Loxone installation whose original programmer is gone can become maintainable again, as soon as the ETS project or access to the Miniserver is recovered. The takeover project is yours.
A partner programme rewards every year the active installed base you bring, in full transparency: your clients' subscription is the same with or without a partner.
What makes it possible
The configuration is generated from what you describe, then updated and monitored. Here is how.

Lighting, shutters, heating, alarm, presence, energy, notifications: each room's automations and screens are written, named and checked by casasmooth, from the rooms and devices you described.

A device added, moved or removed: the “Apply” button regenerates the automations and dashboards concerned. The rules evolve with casasmooth, you do not have to rewrite them.

In the app, the resident turns each automation on or off room by room, and adjusts their own lighting scenes and temperatures per period.
Your installation
Your installation stays your installation. A KNX project is imported from the ETS file, with a confidence level per point and your review. A Loxone Miniserver is read on the network, and your later changes are picked up. A Wiser by Feller installation is taken over through its gateway. A Home Assistant instance keeps its automations, dashboards and integrations: casasmooth installs as an add-on and writes separately. A device placed by a KNX or Loxone project stays where it is.
The box runs on its own at the client's home: automations, energy and security work without internet. Our cloud serves operations: monitoring, remote access, optional backup. Updates arrive by themselves. No server to maintain, no night watch. You are never the last resort: a technical support team answers you.
casasmooth writes an ordinary Home Assistant configuration, readable years later, on an open platform with an estimated two million-plus installations. Without our cloud, the box keeps controlling and automating: only remote access, the first activation of options and keeping them beyond thirty days offline, and billing depend on it. Nothing you have sold becomes useless.
Already running Home Assistant?
Hobbyist with three thousand lines of configuration or installer delivering Home Assistant to clients: here is what changes for you, and what does not.
casasmooth is a Home Assistant add-on: Home Assistant Green, Raspberry Pi, mini PC or virtual machine. It adds a delimited block to your configuration, writes its files separately, and one command removes that block if you uninstall.
What you wrote stays yours: your automations, dashboards and integrations run as before. Everything casasmooth generates carries its prefix. And its local interface, its assistant and its pre-action validation are available for your own automations.
Everything generated is standard Home Assistant configuration, readable and editable. The generator itself is ours. We have published two tools: the import of a KNX project from ETS, and the test bench for the SmartGridready grid interface.
Freemium is free forever, on your own hardware: generated dashboards, every device category, updates included. Options are added one by one, when you want more.
On site
Two tools to arrive on site with a home already described, and leave with a verified commissioning.

A file completed on site, in four languages, in a portal we open to partners on request: the site, the network and the electrical panel, each room with its devices and a photo, each device to connect with its nameplate, the plans, and what the client wants. What is not known stays marked unknown.

On the box, a report compares what the box sees with what you declared. It sorts what is broken, what remains to be set, and asks five questions only a person can answer. It can be run again at any time, with no effect on the home.
What it brings your clients
One application for everything, delivered as standard, without programming: lighting by presence and time of day, shutters by daylight and season, heating per room and per period, alarm, leaving and coming home, air quality, music, voice, energy, and whatever comes next. Some functions are options of the client's subscription.
On the most complex home we operate, lived in, in service every day: over 200 devices actually used, close to 1,000 readable points, and every domain of the home covered by what casasmooth generates, with no programming on the side.
